Usually they are free standing mostly made specifically for a larger birds.  If you consider putting several smaller birds in one of these cages, you need to make sure that the bar spaces are no more than 1/2″, some of these larger cages have 5/8″ spaces and this is too wide for smaller birds, they could get their heads stuck.

You must also consider whether the bars are of high gauge metal, some of these bigger birds have very powerful beaks and will be able to bend anything that isn’t strong enough to withstand their pulling and tugging.

The beauty of a larger cage is that you can put in some more natural features, a branch for a perch for instance. You can actually buy a branch with a fitting at each end so you can put it into the cage yourself.

Corner bird cages for indoors are actually a good idea if your living space is a little limited. Usually corners in any room are wasted space, but to put a bird cage in a corner is a very good use of that space and your bird won’t be miserable because of it.

Mostly a corner bird cage will come with four feeder bowls,two or four inside perches.

With the larger floor area there are usually two slide out trays to make cleaning easier, and there will be multiple feeder doors. You may well find hooks ready to take toys.

Most of these large models of a corner bird cage have a play area on the top, usually featuring a ladder and a perching area and probably feeding bowls up there as well.

A corner bird cage can be a very handsome addition to your home and also a very spacious and comfortable home for your birds.
