The pagoda style looks good and also gives your bird an upper story. This is good because parakeets love to climb and it can be a bit boring for him just being in one rectangular space 24/7.

There are some that look almost like a little house, with a pitched roof, a front door, with a little chimney, so cute. Wouldn’t your bird be the ‘cock of the walk’ in one of these.

I have seen a nice design which has an open top which allows your bird to come up out of the top of the cage. I presume the flaps can be locked to prevent the bird coming out when it is not a suitable time.
